i go by danee (pronounce dah-knee)

i’m a twenty seven year old business professional, currently in the greater Los Angeles, CA, USA area.

i’ve lived in SoCal my whole life; previously in San Diego and Orange County.

i am trying to balance my social and work life at the moment.

nothing else is really special about me. at least, not as of yet. i’m still working on that.

most of my blogs are about the internal struggle of being a Latinx female in the 21st century in the US. navigating a system that was not designed for my success as a first generation anything. i’ve survived getting an associate’s and bachelor’s degree. i’ve left my parents home and relocated to one of the biggest cities in Southern California without any prior friends/relatives.

it’s all been a challenge. and these posts serve to remind me of where i am. what i’ve overcome and why it’s important for my future. without this blog, i don’t think i could be as grounded as i am right now.

life is not easy. it’s not supposed to be. the good thing is life teaches me that there is always another day through you or your family/friends. people don’t stay in your life every day. but reminders of you exist forever.
